Self, who married J. Marcus, who was a Confederate veteran. I believe they had a daughter named Tamara. My brother and I are searching for family in and/or around Vernon Parish. My grandfather, James Monroe Marcus, married Eula Joyner from Yazoo City, Mississippi. This we have pieced together with much help from newly found "cousins" in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. We're still searching, without a GREAT deal of success, to find the Marcus' family who may be known to some of you thru marriage. Our grandfather, James Monroe Marcus, and Eula Joyner, had 3 children: J. D. Marcus, James Marcus, and Curtis Marcus, the latter being our father, who died in Delaware in 1987.
