Three other Westmorelands are also mentioned: James, Jesse, and Oliver P. George was born in St. Helena, also lived in Livingston Parish, and later moved to Vernon where he is buried at the Pine Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. He served in Co. B, 9th Battalion of the LA Infantry, CSA. The Westmoreland family has been traced back to King Edward I of England.
