His wife was Emily Rebecca Johnson b. abt. 1847 in Alabama, d. 1885 in Calcasieu Parish. They had the following children: Bryant Gilbert b. 1873 Peyton David Arthur Marion Henry b. abt. 1880 They also had 3 additional girls born between 1881 and 1885. These girls married and settled somewhere in Vernon Parish.
