    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/EEB.2ACE/794.2 Message Board Post: Sharyn, Sorry I didn't see this query earlier. I have also transcribed the 1900 Vernon Parish Census, and I have that entry. It was not much different than the first answer posted, but I was ble to read the entries - perhaps my tape was clearer. Williams, Joseph, Sep 1847 LA, 52 yrs., married 6 years. Parents born MS/MS. Matilda, wife, Dec. 1870 LA, 29 yrs., married 6 years. Parents born LA/LA. Had 3 children / 2 living in 1900. Benjamin H., son, Apr 1880, 20 yrs. LA Elmina, dau., Nov 1885, 14 yrs. LA Joseph, son, Oct. 1888, 12 yrs. LA George, son, May 1896, 4 yrs. LA Judge L., son, Dec 1898, 2 yrs. LA Otis C., son, Apr 1900, 1 mo. LA My information indicates that a Josiah (Joseph) Williams was born 20 Sep 1847. He was married before Matilda, but I don't know her name. The oldest 3 children above, belong to the 1st wife. I don't have a death date for Josiah/Joseph. Sorry. But his parents were Benjamin Williams (5 Sep 1818) & Louisa Little (24 May 1824 MS). I do know that Benjamin was buried in an unmarked burial in Friendship Cemetery in Vernon Parish. Louisa died 30 May 1903, and is buried in Renfro Cemetery, Angelina County TX. And of course Benjamin Williams was the son of Rev. Samuel Williams & Nancy Parker. Jane McManus
