    1. Re: arsenne lebleu civil war service
    2. David, I sure would like to know what you have on the LeBleu family. I am descended through the same people. I was just surfing the geneology sites and found your posting. My grandmother was a Calcote. Her grandparents were Joseph Ragan Calcote and Katherine Lou Vicie Gill. Her parents were Pearson Lafette Gill and Sarah Ann Lebleu daughter of Arsene LeBleu and Mary Beal. I have only a tiny bit of info on the LeBleu line. I would appreciate anything you can share. You can email me directly at dmay57@quik.com. Thanks, Donna Mayer-Polk

    1. Flactor Cemetery
    2. Locals pronounce it Flactaw. My mom is from Hicks. Flactor Cemetery is at the junction of LA Hwy 28/465. Go towards Leesville for about 5 mil. Turn left at the sign nto Forest Rd. 31. Continue for about 1 1/2 mi. to Flactor Baptist Church on the left side of the road. The cemetery is located on the right side of the church. It has a hurricane fence around it and is kept beautifully. The sign on the gate reads: Flactor Baptist Church appreciates this road built in loving memory of N. W. Causey by the Causey-Stratton families. 18 July 1989. Hope this helps. Donna Mayer-Polk

    1. Flactor cemetery?
    2. Does anyone know where Flactor cemetery is located? I read one reference that said it was near LeCompte which is in Rapides Parish, but there is no "Flactor" cemetery listed in the Rapides or Vernon cemetery listings at Rootsweb. It may have been associated with a Flactor Baptist church.

    1. Sabine Parish Census
    2. Kathy Casagranda
    3. Just to let everyone know that the 1870 census is also up on my web page (Sabine Parish) although it is not listed on the census section for Sabine Parish on USGENWEB. Also, I am going to start posting the 1910 census for Sabine Parish. I should have the first few pages at least up tonight. It is rather slow going but will try and stay with it and post more every evening as possible. <http://www.butteinalaska.com> Kathy Kathy Casagranda P.O. Box 2195 Palmer, Alaska 99645

    1. Re: Moss and Prine Family
    2. Yes, I'd love to share. My info is growing, but is "spotty", since I stopped working on any genealogy in 1988. I began looking again last week. I have gained a good bit of "new-to-me" info in just a short time. Most of what I had previously came from oral & then records. My grandmother is a Dowden, married a Rector. Where do "we" intersect? I'll try to get more organized when I get home, and we'll go from there. Okay? Bless You! Rhonda

    1. Re: Do you know exactly where Granny Franklin, (Andrew J. Howard's mother) was buried?
    2. Or where she was living on the 1900 and 1910 census, it was said she lived with the Ower family in Shreveport, but cannot find her....she lived to be age 104, dying in 1911..... Her full name was Lydia Suzannah Stafford Howard Franklin Younger, (Thigpen, Thomas) she married 5 times, to Edward Lemuel Howard in Leon Co. Florida, to her daughter-in-law's grandfather, (Martha Ann Franklin married to her son Andrew Jackson Howard) to James Younger, and two others (Thigpen and Thomas....(do you know their given names?)

    1. Re: Moss and Prine Family
    2. I don't know if I can help. I have Moss-Dowden-Rector-Nash, etc. in my lineage (along with many others, natch). There were many Moss' in Natchitoches Parish, who later moved to other parts of La. & Texas. I don't know if this is yours, but I'd just about "bet" it coincides. I haven't run across any of the names you mentioned, but it's been since 1988 since I've done any major research. I just began searching the net last week (internet wasn't available back then). Let me know.

    1. Re: 1910 Census ED 146, Joseph Daniel Franklin/Eliza Jane Howard Self Franklin
    2. This is my lineage, also. I haven't done research since 1988, but decided to see if I could find any "missing links", since the internet wasn't available at that time. Partial lineage begins with Andrew Jackson Howard m. Martha ann Franklin; dau., Lydia Ann Howard m. James Hudson Self, who are the parents of my grandfather, Hyman A. Self, Sr. m. Hattie M. Goins. I have a good bit of this, pieced together; some dates. I don't know if this will help, but feel free to contact me.
