    3. Have you obtained a copy of the death certificate. The burial location is generally listed on that. You can get the copy from the Louisiana State Archives in Baton Rouge. The cost is $7.00 Good luck. 3. Josie Lorena Brannon DeRamus (she went by Lorena or Rena) died on or about Dec. 13, 1924 in or near Alco, Vernon Parish, LA. We have no information on where she is buried other than being told by one source that it was between Simpson and Slagle and by another source that it was at the first settlement east of Alco. Would that have been Hutton in 1924? Does anyone have any suggestions other than church records? It has been suggested that Comrade Cemetery might be a possibility and I understand that there was once a Comrade Church but where would one look for old records from that church? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Linda

I think your Mollie Corley is too old to be my grandfather's, James Monroe Marcus, first wife. But, there could very well be a family connection . . . I know families moved from one southern state to another a lot . . . I'll look in my files and see if I can find a family history on Mollie . . . she is buried in Louisiana . . . apparently died fairly young. Let me know if you find anything else . . . . thanks again!
