From information I have found Samuel was one of the first settlers and any information on him or his family would be greatly appreciated. Also I am trying to figure out what Rice Island and Rice Cove are. On some of the information I have found it said that Samuel was buried in Rice Island, Vermilion Parish, La and for his wife Sarah Sally Stratton was buried in Rice Cove, Vermilion Parish, La. Any help given will be greatly appreciated!
