I found it very interesting that this website contains many of the small communities (vellages) that my father use to tell us kids (17 in all) many years ago. He was born around the Prairie Greig area (now Henry) in 1884 and use to travel the parish quite abit as a young lad. While Broussard Cove is not listed in the website, I recollect Dad referring to Mr Broussard's plantation in Bruce's Cove, a bend in the Vermilion Bayou between Abbeville & Milton, near the Woodlawn settlement, where friends gathered.
