I promise to keep everyone posted as soon as I discover anything new. I am going to try to go to the Virginia State Library this week with all of this new info you've given to me and see what I can find out. The idea about donating these materials to the Vermillion Historical Society sounds like the right idea! Then if there are any relatives alive, they can at least view these items, and the papers will be safe in the meantime. Great suggestion! -Peggy
