Dear List Members, My name is Kathleen Burnett and I am your new List Mom. I want to take a moment and let you know who I am and a little about myself and how I work as a Mailing List Mom. I am a mother of 4 and grandmother of 10. I work outside of the home during the day and I am a list Mom to several other Mailing Lists. I am also actively involved in the genealogical research of my ancestors. Safe meaning a place you are not subject to postings other than postings related to Vermilion Parish. I have very few rules for the lists I watch over, the main being to treat your fellow members as you would like to be treated. The posting of Virus warnings, test messages, chain letters, political announcements, current events, items for sale and Flames, etc (in other words - SPAM) is not allowed and will be grounds for removal. If you would like to visit the archived messages for this list you only need to go to http://archiver.rootsweb.com and type in the name of the list, in this case LAVERMIL. From there you can search by date. There is a great Rootsweb site, Password Central where you can go if you what to find out what Rootsweb lists you are a member of or need to unsubscribe from a list or several lists.
