My Great great great grandfather, William E Brewer, was born in Louisiana (September 4, 1826). We believe it was either in St. Martin Parish or Vermilion Parish, but are unsure. According to Kimble County, Texas 1860 Census records, William's father (name unknown) was born in New York and his mother was born in Louisiana. The family moved to Southeast Texas area where William married Caroline (Carolyn) Hillebrandt (who is from Abbeville, Vermilion Parish, LA) on January 3, 1850 in Jefferson Co, Texas. ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated!!! Thanks!
