It's been quite a while ago. The cemeteries were all online and I don't quite know how to tell you to get to them. I don't know if Ancestry.com has taken these databases over or not. I am also looking for any information on John Flanagan possibly John J.) whose marriage liscense to Molly Griffith (Mollie Griffin) is recorded in the Franklin Courthouse. Seems he migrated towards Esterwood after his marriage, but can find no parent, sibling, birth records. Would appreciate any information.

But I do want to know our connection. This is what I do know, I think. Ambroise married Marie Trahan, had at least 6 children: Elima, Az'ma, Edward,( Az'na, & Marguerite, who kept the Lepine name), and Meance, my grandfather. OOh and there the list gets long. Between my grandfather and grandmother there were at least 21 children, my dad, Ellis or tonfon, as he was called, being the baby. I do have a very serious question. I recently found out that my dad had a sister born around 1903 and that her name was possibly Glovis. My older brother heard a little about her; that she ran away? at an early age and was never heard from again. Do you have any information, there? My grandfather Meance (Mayance Mathews on his headstone), the one I told you about earlier is burried in Abshire Cemetary next to his 1st wife, Clemence Bertrand. I have been to the cemetary once about 10 years ago. I don't know if Clemence never remarried, but I do know grandpa had another wife, Ozea Marie or Marie Ozea LeBlanc, before he married my grandmother. I have a cousin that might know of more relatives there.

My father's name was Ellis and his dad was 69 when he was born, hence I never new him. I can't seem to find any information on internet from Vermillion Parish.

Vol. 3 of SWLR shows an Abshire, Sosthene bt. 18 April 1840 at age 2 months. The parents are Abraham Abshire and Marguerite Toutchette. Is this the one you are looking for? Darla

I just managed to go thru and check everything on line. Virginia Dronet married W.O.Winzor and had Eva Darlene who I believe died of (cancer???). Eva, who Dad called Darlene never married.Lived and died in Lake Charles. I have to find all my info. since we just moved in. I have some info. on the Dronet side but the Winzor side stops with W.O.'s Dad F.M. who married Annie Broadway. That is our Choctaw Indian connection, by the way. I am looking for any info. on the Winzor side and when I find the Dronet side I will be happy to share it with you. But, like I say, I have to sort thru everything and find the family history folders. F.M. and Annie had W.O., R.J. and Lennie. R.J. married Myrtle Gimnick and Lennie married ?? Wilsey. The Wilsey family moved to Delhi, OK. I found some info on them also from the Social Security Death Index. Emile died 27 April 1862. They were the parents of Odile Hebert/ married to Adrien David and they were my great grand parents. They were married in Youngsville, were the parents of 14 children, most of the Davids in Youngsville, Vermilion Parish and Lafayette Parish are their descendants. I also researched the Heberts because my husband was an Hebert and several of Adrien Davids brother married into the descendants of Joseph Francois Hebert and Marie Denise Bourg. Adrien Davids brother, Julien Hebert married E! ugenie Hebert, a granddaughter of Joseph Francois , Adrien Davids sister Adonia David married Clemille Hebert and after he died she married again to his brother Aurelien Hebert both brothers were the grandsons of Joseph Francois . Adrien David brother Jean Baptiste married Philomine, the sister of Odile Hebert who were both daughters of Joseph Francois and Adriens other brother Paul Helaire David married Emma Hebert a granddaughter of Joseph Francois. Adriens sister had a daughter that also married one of Joseph francois grandsons. He was Joseph Elise and she was Noemi Bourque. Complicated? You bet
