Walter was born in South Carolina in May of 1850. I THINK his dad's name was either Lee Perry Scott or Perry Lee Scott. I don't know of any brothers or sisters of S. Walter Scott - I'm not even sure of what the S. in his name stands for. I'm desperately trying to find a link to go further back in time to see when and where they came from. This is the information I have: S. Walter Lee Scott was born in May of 1950 in South Carolina. Found on the 1900 and 1910 Censuses. The 1900 Census says that his mother and father were both born in North Carolina. The 1910 Census says that his mother and father were born in South Carolina. He was married on September 22, 1884 to Mary Prudence Light (Thibodeaux, LA Court House) - found in South Louisiana Records 1881-1885. I have information that he died May 13, 1916 in Indian Bayou, Louisiana - but have not verified that infomation yet. S. Walter was white and his children were: (1) Perry Lambert Ubert Scott born July 23, 1885 in Labadieville, LA and married Olelia Smith May 26, 1908 in Gueydan, LA. He died September 18, 1947 in Gueydan, LA. Baptised March, 1 1886. (2) Louisa Nevada Scott was born September 24, 1889 in Patterson, LA. Baptised October 20, 1889. (3) Lydia Gertrude Scott was born September 30, 1887 in Patterson, LA and Baptised February 25, 1888. Any information about S. Walter Lee Scott and any ancestors before him would be greatly appreciated !!!
