My lines are the Tillman and Mary (Brown) Taunton Family who moved to Union Parish from Coffee County, Ala after the Civil War. They lived in the Marion and Oakland area. William Green(e) and Lucinda (Miller) Gilmore who were in Union Parish after 1865. Henry Lansford and Piety (Brittian) Farrar, Jr. who moved to Union Parish from Perry County, Ala. in the late 1840s. They lived around the Spearsville area. Joseph and Martha (Neal) Slater who were in Claiborne Parish in 1870, but evidently moved to the Spearsville area by the 1880s. All of these families moved back and forth across the Union Parish/Union County lines numerous times.
