Hello everyone, Since the last update, there are a number of new photographs on the Union Parish Archives, all submitted by Gene Barron & Lyle Smith. All are linked from here: http://ftp.rootsweb.com/%7Eusgenweb/la/union/union-new-photos.htm In particular, Gene sent some fascinating photographs of the Summit Lumber Company that was headquartered at Randolph (in northwestern Union Parish near Junction City) in the early 1900s. He also sent a photo of the Randolph Baseball Team and one of an unidentified Spearsville woman. Lyle sent more Smith family photographs, photos of Henry C. Barron & wives, a Spearsville Singing School, Primitive Baptist Preachers, 1900s log rolling, and a photo of the old New Hope Primitive Baptist Church building in Spearsville. Both Gene and Lyle sent photographs of "Uncle Minor & Aunt Nannie" Ogden of Spearsville. Finally, Shawn Martin contributed the successions of Dr. William T. Gilbert (1859) and John Stow (1861).
