Hello, I hope everyone had a good week. Here is the new material posted this week on the Union Parish archives: ** Photograph of Rebecca Harper Tucker from Bruce Odom ** Photographs & history of Ward's Chapel Cemetery After a few email questions from our list, I realize that not everyone realizes the Louisiana military resources available on the Louisiana USGenWeb archives pages. The two most valuable tools for proving Louisiana Confederate military service are already available on the USGenWeb Louisiana Archives page. Somehow Jan Craven managed to get "Booth's Index" to Louisiana Confederate soldiers posted several years ago. In addition, the Louisiana Archives allowed us to post their index to Louisiana Confederate Pension Applications on the USGenWeb Louisiana Archives pages. Both indices are available via "clickable tables" at this URL: http://www.rootsweb.com/%7Eusgenweb/la/military/WBTS.htm Finally, let's welcome our newest listmember, Jim Williams. He is trying to locate information on William L. Williams (1857-1935) who died in Juncktion City. In 1880, he lived in Union Parish with a Mabry family. Welcome, Jim! Have a good week, everyone.
