    3. Thanks! Might be a connection, but can't say for sure. My grandfather, Charles E. Dean, was born in 1876; so his father, Richard, which I'm almost sure is right, was probably born before 1856. The 11 Dean children you named were probably born between 1820 and 1851; so one of the early ones could have been Richard's father. I think Richard came from Alabama. If we could somehow connect one of Joseph's boys with Alabama, that would be good.
