His brother (William Chandler) married a Mary Fitts--Mary Fitts and William Chandler lived in Alabama for a while and then moved to Hancock Co., MS. Do you (Sherry) have any information on the Joel Chandler you mentioned above? Sherry and I corresponded several years ago about the Union Gin School in Union Parish. I have found an old photo of my aunt Nell Liggin which her Union Gin School class. I was wondering if you (Sherry) or anyone else on this list might be able to identify the children in her class. She died in an accident in 1943 or 1944 and this would have been in the years just before her death. I have also found a scrapbook of her Union Gin School lesson plans and would like to donate it and the photo of her class to the Bernice Museum.
