Jasper, Thanks for writing to me. I did check out Mt. Union Cemetery. Some of Jeremiah's grandchildren are buried there. I notice that his son, William Berson/Burson and wife, were not buried there either. Does anyone know where William Berson is buried? They may be together, somehow. I forgot to mention it, but Jeremiah Burson hated his names and called himself "James". I was named after his nickname. Thanks again, Jim ----- Original Message ----- From: "jasper hoover" <jhoover79@comcast.net> To: <LAUNION-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, January 04, 2005 12:44 AM Subject: Re: [Union Parish LA] Burial Site for Dr. Jeremiah Burson Adcock > Try Mount Union. I looked up the Adcocks in my Elkins line and it says William Burson was buried at Spearsville Liberty . This was done by my Aunt Mrs. Clyde Cherry now deceased . She lived at Spearsville when she did the book. There are some descendents listed in my 1998 telephone book for Spearsville. They are Billy Joe Son of Wm. Clifford Liberty Road 318 778 3843 He is the son of William Clifford son of William Burson. He is listed on the Mt Union as dying in Sept of 1998. Cliff Adcock Liberty Church Rd. 318 778 0937. HE IS THE SON OF? William Sr. was the son of wm. Burson and his son William Clifford Jr. Died born and died May 26, 1943. He is listed as dying March 1975. according to my penciled notes in this book his wife died in 1985. The other I am assuming is Dan who is the son of Noah Adcock son of William Burson. and lives on Hwy 15 which goes from 167 to Farmerville and passes Mt. Union church.318-778 3854.He was working in Baton rouge in 78 when the book was written. but he was born in 27 and could be retired in 98. If this doesn't work out I can look for others in the Northeast La phone Book. Hope this isn't too confusing . my 81 year old mind doesn't work like it used to. Jasper (Jap after my grandfather Jasper Newton Elkins. There is another Adcock or two in my line but I don't know as much about them and the older ones are dead.
