Joseph Shaw and Caroline Lynn dau. of Matthew Lynn and his 2nd. wife, Mrs. Ali Shaw Brasfield Lynn dau. of John Baptist Shaw and Frankie McElroy daughter of Archibald McElroy who died in 1760 in North Carolina. We now know that Frankie's mother was Catherine Simpson. I am told that the Lynn, Shaw, Tubb or Tubbs, and other descendants of these families live in and around Union Parish today. I also have a lead on the father of Archibald McElroy, but want to verify the accuracy before I post. Does anyone know where the Stow Roan Cemetery may be located? \I am told there are marked graves for Matthew Wood and his wife, Hannah Payne Wood. How would one get there from Ruston or Farmerville? Also can anyone give me the reference and how to obtain the record where the first four older children were adopted by Matthew Wood. Was Hannah Payne previously married and if so, to whom?
