Hi Louis. I am aware of the vandalism. Three of the baby graves that were destroyed were babies of our family. I have tried to get some interest in putting new markers there. I know where they are cause my father in law showed me where they were buried when we attended one of the reunions. Trudy Dumas was the pres. of the cemetery assoc the last I heard. She lives in Strong. I have her addy and phone #. Does anyone live in Strong that could give her a call and see if there are any church records? I'll send her information to you privately. If no one can make a local call, I'll call her and see what I can find out. Those Primative Baptist were pretty "hardshell" from what I can gather. I have some ancestors that were here in Calcasieu Pr. who were founders of a little PB Church in the early years of Cal. and I have done some research and the big difference that I can find is that they were not evangelical beleiving more like the Presbyterians do, that we are chosen and that's that. Can anyone else shed some light on this......(not specifically related to Union pr, but I'm sure that many of us have these PB ancestors, as this was a fairly common denomination back then and there are not many of them now.
