Box 400 Louisville, Miss. 39339 is searching for the parents of John Tillman Taunton who was born in 1820 in Georgia. In 1844 John married Mary "Polly" Brown daughter of Jesse and Mary Brown in Pike Co. Ala. John and Mary were the parents of 8 children most of whom settled in Union Parish and Union Co. Ark. area. The children then married into the Gilmore, Harper, Toler, Wood , Etheridge, Cobb and Poole families. The estate, settled in Union Parish mentions the family Bible and Louis would like to find the descendant who owns the Bible. This was published in Desmond Walls Allen column in The Times newspaper in Shreveport. Someone sent it to me and I would like to help him.
