    3. First of all, I just realized I told my Mabry list, but forgot to tell you guys - life has been kind of topsy-turvy here. I am getting married in a few weeks and moving to Illinois. (I know, I know - but I'll never actually BECOME a yankee!!!) <g> So I may be unsubscribed for a few weeks, but I'll be back after the first of the year. mmm, mmm Mary Margaret - black eyed peas and hot water cornbread, liberally dosed with vinegar which has sat over Louisiana sport peppers for a long, long time, of course!!! But, remember, this "do" is being put together by a bunch of people who don't actually live in Union Parish. I have put events like this together before, and to pull off a big deal would take a group of people in place and spending hours contacting all the companies that might contribute, and I think it is beyond the scope of what we are capable of at this point in time. I think a loosely structured event spanning both Saturday and Sunday, with people feeling free to come and go at will during those two days is what we need for this first outing. I would love for it to be the weekend of May 22, 23. I especially want to go to that gospel sing on Saturday night. We can organize our own cemetery tour. No biggie. Just send in your requests for which cemeteries, we'll get a map, and go after it. I am sad to report that if we choose that weekend, cousin Gaylon cannot make it, but if we keep trying to find a weekend everyone can make it, we may never come up with the right one. The idea of having it catered by the firm in Ruston sounds good, the sending in the money ahead for that is the best way to do it. Raiding KFC and Sam's would be good, but don't want anybody stuck for a bill because some don't show up. We could do the catering on one day, and KFC the next, and everybody could be on their own for breakfast and supper. We can do our own "swapping" - everybody just bring all your Union Parish stuff. I will see what I can do in the next few months about the copier situation. We may have to just descend on the local Kinko's en masse. I am leaving the Friday after Thanksgiving for a week in Carbondale to firm up wedding plans, then will be back here on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving until about the 14th or 15th of Dec. Then will be completely offline until about Jan 16th. Later, Karen
