John J. GRIFFIN was b. ca1796 in Edgefield Dist., SC and d. Sep 1870 in Tallapoosa Co., AL. First marriage - name unknown. Ch: Jethro b. ca1815/1817 John b. ca1819 David R. b. ca1820 Mary A. b. Dec 1823 My line is through Jethro. Jethro and his brother David went to Jasper Co., GA. Jethro's daughter, Elizabeth married Alexander TUCKER and they went to Union Parish, LA.
