Hi Ya'll. In my haste I deleted email from a kind person on this list who asked about the families I am researching. I am descended from DURRETTs and CUMMINGS (CULBERTSON, KIRKLAND, PAYNE) and on my father's side near Delhi, LA i am descended from the HALLs and POOL(E)s. MILLARD BANKS DURRETT is my maternal grandfather. He and my grandmother, LELA MAE CUMMINGS DURRETT lived just east of Arcadia towards Simsboro on Hwy 80 (i believe). My PaPa had a little country store at the top of a hill before you turn on (what we called) The Girl Scout Road....that was taken over by Tom CATHEY for many years, then left to ruin. Anyway lots of great memories staying with them in the summers, and getting to play store while my PaPa snoozed and listened to the baseball games on crackly radio. R. Mae
