Is anyone on this list researching the Martindale family? I am searching for information on Nancy Martindale, b. about 1810, AL(?), b. Banks, AR. I have recently discovered she is my GGGrandmother. I know there are several Martindale descendants in Union Parish. I have knew we were related to the Martindale's, but never knew how until recently. I have very little information on her, but here is what I do have that was written by my grandmother who is now deceased. 1) Nancy was the daughter of James Martindale 2) She had a brother name James, b. about 1815 whose wife was name Mary (no last name). 3) Nancy first married James Morgan in DeSoto Co., MS and had son P. D. Morgan. 4) There is a P. D. Morgan buried in Caanan Cemetery 5) Nancy's second marriage was to James Drury (my GGGrandfather) 6) Nancy and James Drury's children were: John, Nan, and Elizabeth "Betty" 7) Nancy's son John was killed during the civil war. 8) Her daughter Nan married a Mr. Irvin (I have a picture of Nan with three of her children). 9) Her daughter Elizabeth married David Jameson McAdams and settled in Union Parish, LA and had 14 children (I have a picture of them with 10 of their children). Betty and David are buried in Canaan Cemetery in the northern part of Union Parish, LA. I have a lot of information on the McAdams', some on the Post's, but am stuck on the Martindale and Drury lines. I am willing to share any information I do have. Shawn Martin smarcmar@aol.com
