Greetings, I'm researching the SPEIR family. My great-grandparents came from Pike Co. Alabama to Union Parish probably between their marriage in 1857 and 1860. Jefferson B. SPIER (1836-1910) m. Sarah J. BOWEN (1841-1921). They lived in Ward 2, and many of the family members are buried at Liberty Cemetery in Linville. Would like to determine if they joined other family already in Union Parish by 1857. Perhaps SPEIR/SPIER/SPEAR spellings. They were connected to STRINGER, and married into following families: EDWARDS, ALLEN, PARKS, BARR, HAILE. Will appreciate any leads and sharing information. Larrie Spier Curry lscurry@kih.net
