    3. Hi Gang! Gina has 12 obits ready and waiting for me, but tonight I played with my new scanner. Besides 2 photos that Bobby Bayles sent of his Moore family, I scanned one of my great uncles, Lucien & Ernest Copeland when they were 7 and 10 years old in 1898. Tried 3 photo programs before I was finally able to save it as a jpg of the right size, but I think it looks great! Now I'm going to run off to Branson for a 3 day weekend with my spouse, and I'll get to those obits when I get back! By the way, a couple of years ago when I took off to get married there was some muttering and speculation (good humored) on this list about my running off up north to marry this ole Yankee. I have been dutifully doing the genealogical research on the Rice family, and it seems the spouse's southren credentials are better than mine! They are from Fauquier Co, VA and both great-granpap and great-great-uncle fit in the big one with Mosby's Rangers. And Amanda Virginia "Tee" Edmonds, who wrote the Civil War journal that is quoted on the History Channel so much, is a 2nd cousin, 5X removed. Am I forgiven?
