    3. Tim Hudson has sent us more goodies! Two issues of the Union Record, the oldest surviving newspaper from Union Parish, one issue from 1873 and one from 1876. All the articles pertaining to the Ida Schuster Tragedy in one file. And the following obits from the Home Advocate: 1885, H. L. Liggen - 1886, Dr. W. C. Carr, Charles Oliver, Rev. C.W. Hodge, Thomas Jefferson Moore, and Dick Davenport. On the 1920 census - the ladies at GenWeb are in receipt of our transcriptions of Wards 1, 5, 6, and 7. Hopefully they will be up soon after the first of the year. We'll work on Wards 2, 3, 4, 8, and 9 some through the holidays - but mostly after the first of the year. They also have our 1820, 1830, and 1840 transcriptions, which we also hope to see up soon after the first of the year. The 1900 Census is available for transcription again. Debi Burgess had a turn of ill health and is going to be a few months recuperating. Karen Mabry Rice Union Parish Archives Coordinator, USGenWeb http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/la/union.htm
