Janyce King, Maggie Stewart, and Kay Mason, of the national USGenWeb Census Project, reformatted and proofread Judy Cole's transcription of the 1850 Census, and we now have it on the Archives in place of the old file. It conforms with the ACP Standard, so now we are listed on the Census Project and the whole world can know that we have some census records in Union Parish. The same thing will be done with the 1860 Census in the next couple of weeks. I am working on getting the 1840, 1870, 1880, 1900, 1910, and 1920 images for us. Once we have them (I hope), I have two volunteers for the transcriptions, and would be glad to hear from more. I will keep you advised.
