    3. Betty, This is so COOL! I wonder if your Jane, Mary, and John GLASS are related to the Annie E. GLASS who married Demetrius' brother, Alphanzo S. COPELAND? Don't hold me to this - Christie - this part is for you too - but I think when I was looking through this big, old, handwritten book I have on the Copelands and their relations, I saw a REDDEN, too. Will go back and look tomorrow when I have more time. Karen

Laura, Doesn't surprise me at all - I make mistakes under the best of circumstances, but last night when I was trying to pull out all that data about the Powells and Barretts, my daughter had already gone to sleep, so I was peering at 20 yr old typing under a tiny desk lamp. I don't have nearly everything in the computer yet. Let's see what I've got in the clear light of day. I have: Laura Burdett Barrett, b. 3 Apr. 1876, place not specified, informants R.B. Mabry (grandson of William Henry Mabry, oldest child of WP) and Reese Mabry (son of Charles Leroy (youngest child of WP) and Bessie Barrett Mabry. Elizabeth "Bessie" Barrett, b. 3 Nov. 1873, place not specified, same informants. I just flat missed Uncle Al! I have that he m. on 28 Dec 1890 to Nancy Ella Barret, who was b. 31 May 1875 at Bernice, d/o Tilman H. "Tid" Barrett and Martha Missouri Elizabeth "Mattie" Burdett. Nancy Ella d. 1 Oct 1964 at Noble in Sabine Pa, buried at Noble Cem. Informant was Bernice Mabry Franklin, sixth and youngest child of Al and Nancy Ella. I did not know that about the Barrett brothers and Burdett sisters, thanks for the data. It's easy to see why almost everyone from Union Pa is related in some way or another, isn't it? I'm not finding John B. in my Tubb data. I have another book I'll look at later. Addie Mae? Betty? Can you field this one? Later, Karen

    3. Louis, If you're speaking of Arelia Breed, I believe that she was indexing all the old court house records. At least that is what I was told. I don't know where they were going though... or if they stayed in the court house. She sure was some kind of lady!!!! Had more knowledge in her head than I'll ever have in my 'puter... BJ

Shorty was not a relation as far as I know, but she helped me get started with my Union Parish genealogy some years ago. Thank you very much. Also, on Bertha Lee Tabor Formby - could that be Fomby? I'm sure it is. She was married to William Jessie FOMBY, son of Lizzie Neel (Bella) Copeland and Wilson Lump FOMBY. Bella was the second child of Demetrius Colvin COPELAND and Susan Annie MOORE.
