Believe it or not, we have 43 subscribers on the LASTJOHN-L discussion list. Mail on this list seems to be few and far between, though. The purpose of this list is to share genealogy information, and ask for help with research. I hope that you all will utilize this list to get the help you need finding your evassive ancestors. Personally, I do not have any surnames from this parish. I am here to help maintain the St. John The Baptist Parish LAGenWeb site and help you all with your research. I live in LaPlace and can access information from the library. If you need me to look up anything, just ask. I will do my best to find what you are looking for. The librarians are very helpful also. Another avenue of research is to check out the query pages on the St. John Parish site (http://www.rootsweb.com/~lastjohn/query.htm). You may find someone who is researching the same surnames you are.
