It is re-published here with the permission of the author. - Family History Radio Show Live on the Web The Family History Show, a genealogy radio talk show hosted by Michael Matthews, can now be heard by anyone in the world - live on the internet. The program is aired on radio stations on the Texas State Network on Sunday nights from 10:00 PM Central Standard Time to midnight. That equates to an 11:00 PM start time in the Eastern Time Zone and 8:00 PM Pacific Time. Anyone in other countries may want to calculate that in Greenwich Mean Time, sometimes called UTC. The program begins at 04:00 hours Monday UTC. Not a convenient time for anyone in the U.K. or in Europe! Using free software called RealPlayer from RealNetworks, Inc., any Internet subscriber can log onto a web site that carries the broadcast and hear the live show through the computer speakers. Since the show offers a toll-free call-in number, 1-800-765-1080, researchers can even participate in the program if they are anywhere in the United States. The RealPlayer software required for tuning into this web show is available for Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows NT, Macintosh OS versions 7 and 8, OS/2 and several UNIX platforms.
