In reply to the advice to obtain the pension applications... I have both applications and they are almost identical. The reason for being turned down (in 1915) is that Stephen Belgard can't be found on the Crescent Regiment of Louisiana Rolls and there are no rolls on file for the 6th Louisiana Field Battery (also known as West's Battery). He stated on both applications that there were the groups that his was with. I just feel so strongly that he was in the War....Linda
