    2. You have misinterpreted the finding in Family TreeMaker... Solomon is not the name of the tribe, but only a member of the tribe of the remnants of the once great and numerous tribes of Apalache Indians, native to Florida, removed to near Mobile in the early to mid 1700's and in 1763 moved onto land at the rapide on Riviere Rouge granted them that year by the French Government at New Orleans. There were no surnames possessed by the early Indians, only given names. At a later date, descendents took any one of their ancestors given name as their surname, ex.: there may be someone named John Solomon and he took his name from an ancestor named simply, Solomon.
