    3. Hi, Carrie, I'm replying to you and the Rapides Parish mailing list at the same time. Can anyone help Carrie? Does anyone have information on the Solomon Apalache Indians? 3. Carrie, I may not be able to help much, but my line includes references to the Apalache Indians. You may find out more about this tribe by accessing the Natchitoches forums. The Torres family and the DeRouens are of my line, and I believe had marriages with the Apalache Indians. I don't have that information in front of me. (Drawing from memory.) There is a family forum you can subscribe to that includes a great many of the pioneer families of Central Louisiana. It is called 'the Martins of Sabine Territory.' (It is a membership forum but open to whosoever will.) I believe you will find some information on the Apalaches from this group. (I host the forum.) Go go: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/martin-family There is also another new membership forum for the Edwards family. You can check it out at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/JOSEPHEDWARDS The JosephEdwards forum is sponsored by Keith Edwards. I know he has some information on the tribe you are looking for. (These two forums are related. The Edwards, Martins, Miers, Torres, DeRouens familes are all early pioneers of this area.) Blessings.
