Searching for descendants of JOSEPH S. SALYERS and LUCINDA ODOM SALYERS m. 22 Jan 1852 in Catahoula Parish who may have information on the burial place of DEMPSEY ODOM, father of Lucinda Odom. DEMPSEY was pastor (elder) of PINE GROVE BAPTIST CHURCH in 1861. He was my gggrandfather. DEMPSEY died 9 April 1867 in Catahoula Parish. Last know Census 1860 Post Office Address was Pine Woods District Post Office, White Sulphur Springs, LA. Burial records in LaSalle and Catahoula Parish have been checked without discovery.
