The Rapides Parish Library, Reference Dept. 411 Washington Ave., Alexandria Louisiana 71301-8338 has the Alexandria Daily Town Talk on microfilm. They only have one reader, so you can use it for only 30 minutes if someone else if waiting. A few weeks ago, I was there on a Saturday with quite a list, one of the ladies told me that if I wanted to leave them the list, they would look the obituaries up and mail me copies for 10 cents a copy, no charge for their service. I received 8 copies and my list back with the ones marked with the ones they could not find. They sent me a note, I owed them 80 cents, it didn't mention the price of the envelope or the 77 cents for postage. It was well worth my small contribution to cover these expenses. You will, of course, need to give them the name and date of death. My hats off to the people who work at this library. Hazel
