    1. [LARAPIDE] Jinks Welch
    2. Thank you to everyone who responded to my request for information on the death certificate. I will send for one tomorrow. I would like to tell about a picture I have with Jinks Welch. It is a picture of a band, guitar players and fiddle players. The picture was taken around 1890, give or take a few years. It was probably taken around Stephenville, TX. The picture includes: Pettis Pipes, holding a guitar; Jenks Welch, holding a fiddle; Wm Madison Welch, holding a guitar; John Welch; Ballard Pipes, holding a fiddle; Drew O. Welch, holding a fiddle; and John Pipes, holding a guitar. I could identify everyone except Jenks Welch. John Welch is my great grandfather Wm. Madison and Drew O. Welch are his brothers. There little sister, Leona, married a William David Pipes. A son of Wm. Madison Welch told us that Jinks Welch was their cousin and that he lived and worked around Cheneyville and Lecompte. He was a builder. He also had a brother living there named "Tel" and I am not sure of the spelling. I have found Jinks H. Welch 18 Oct 1868/25 Jun 1957 and Mary Elizabeth Welch 26 May 1880/4 May 1965 in the Lecompte Cemetery. I do not know if Mary Elizabeth was his wife or maybe his sister. Does anyone know anything about these Welches? Any information will be greatly appreciated. Charlotte from hot West Texas
