I've enjoyed reading about the Willis's family. Oh how I wish that I knew more about the Watkins family that my Husband's grandmother was born into in 1869 Rapides Parish, Cheneyville area. Her mother was the daughter of Ammon Perry Morris and Mary Anne Watkins. That side goes back a few generations, but all I know of her father is his name William I. Watkins. There are a number of Watkins in the LA and TX area, but no one mentions a William I. Does any one know ??? Oh where, oh Where did he come from?
