Marguerite, I don't believe Father Hebert's CD covers Rapids Parish. He has 41-42 Volumes of books, combined in one CD. He and many volunteers recorded Church and Court house births, baptisms, marriages, and deaths in Sourhwest Louisiana called the "blue books" and In Southeast Louisiana called the "red books. The Red books were done in 12 volumes. They are a treasure to researchers. Many libraries have them. And they can be ordered. The CD is wonderful, costs over $300. However the books cover only Southwest and southeast Louisiana. We purchased the CD in our library, and have 12 blue volumes, and are ordering 2 per year. The books cost around 42 dollars. Ethel.
