Have found John A Strother & family on the 1850 & 1860 Rapides Parish census as follows: 01 November 1850 654/654 Rapides Parish, LA John Strother 31, wife Eliza Ann Willis 32, children John Jr 11, Alfred 9, Isiah (Isaiah) 7, Bernard 5, Dempsey 4, Henry (Henry Zachariah) 2 19 June 1860 243/244 Rapides Parish, LA John Strother 40 (John A), wife Eliza 41 (Eliza Ann Willis), children Josiah 18, Bennard 16, Dempsey 14, Henry 12 (Henry Z), Mary Ann 8, George W 6, Elizabeth 4, Sarah Jane 2, Richard 4/12 (Feb 1860) Is it true that he married Artimesa Brown Smith 26 October 1870 in Rapides Parish, LA & that their child was Azariah Columbus Strother (11 May 1873 - 02 January 1933)? If so, can anyone tell me about the family of A.C.?? Thanks
