I'm not sure. I know that there were a good may Goff's that live in the Alexandria -Pineville area when I was growing up and there is a Mary Goff Elementry School; in the Tioga area. My Aunt by marriage had a newphew who was a Goff. I'll do some checking and let you know what I can find out. Cherry
Seeking any info. on Alice GOFF, who married an L. Battles, on Oct. 15, 1877 in Rapides Parish, La. Was this the same Alice Goff who was married (probably later) to Washington Burgess Adams in Winn Parish, La. ? Thank. Gregory R. Aymond Alexandria, Louisiana

Hi Beverly, I recently discovered from the SSDI that my gmother, Margaret Smith DOB 1898, was the daughter of Cecelia Morris and John Smith. They lived in Alexandria. I don't have any more than that. Thanks and God Bless you! -----Original Message----- From: Bobby Smith [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, April 10, 2000 11:14 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [LARAPIDE] Morris Dear Gerry, This has nothing to do with your attending the meeting. I am interested in the Morris Line that you have. I have been trying to verify the connection between the Morris family and the Watkins family found in the 1870 Census of Rapides Parish. These Watkins and Morris both have Tx connections . They seem to cross between the Sabine county and the Sabine Parish. Please let me know about your Morris Line. God Bless, Beverly Smith

Hi! My name is Gerry Ieva. My ggrandfather was John SMITH. I don't know of any Dyess in my background. I am new at this and would like your opinion on wheather I would be worth it for me to attend and if I should only attend the Saturday session since i am not a Dyess. I live near New Orleans and it would be a long trip but , I would attend If you think it would be worth. My family was from Boyce and Pineville. They are GURIE, GIBSON, MATHEWS, SMITH, MCCOY and MORRIS. So far that is as much as I have. Thank you for your time.
