Not sure why there was a big search for the birth certificate of John Joseph Learson  - the ancestor of Branford Marsalis. Learson's 5 children with Myrthee Valentine are on the indiex NOVA put online from the State Archives indices. Could have gotten it in BR at the Archives.   Gene
