    3. I use the familysearch site to find persons in New Orleans.. They have Louisiana indexed. I copy the ed number, then go to ancestry and look it up. A few steps, but it is easier than going page by page on Ancestry. Coming soon are: AK, AR, ID, MA, MN, MO, NM, ND, OK, RI, SD, UT.  I'm getting very impatient to see LA on that list! I knew that I had eight corrections to make, and I just went to http://www.ancestry.com/ to make them. It was quite user friendly, and I see that they did not immediately go into effect. Do you know how Ancestry goes about installing the corrections? I had the last name misspelled four times, my father and brother with first names wrong, and my brothers born in the wrong state. Has anyone had experience with interacting with them on these things? 3. I use familysearch.org. At this point they are 97% indexed and about 80% searchable. If it shows a state is 100% indexed on their map, it is usualy searchable within a week. Thare are 6 states that are 100% indexed and should be searchable within a couple of days. Martha Genealogy searches yesterday for who we are today. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sally Viada" <sgvjada@yahoo.com> To: <laorlean@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, July 27, 2012 10:13 AM Subject: Re: [LAORLEAN] 1940 Census I use the familysearch site to find persons in New Orleans..
