<http://www.archives.gov/research/genealogy/index.html> Gene, I entered archives.gov/genealogy in my search box, then, clicked on "The 1940 Census Now Online - 1940census.archives.gov." It's a free site. After the "Welcome" and "Get Started," I went to the map section to find ED's. for New Orleans. There are 16 pages. My family lived in New Orleans in the 9th Ward, all in the same street. After finding the correct ED, then browsing the pages, I found them all: grandparents, parents, brother, cousins, aunts, and uncles. It was exciting. I hope I gave you the information you needed. Thanks From: "Jan Delgehausen"<msdelge@cox.net> I bypassed Ancestry.com and went to Archives.gov where you can search the entire 1940 Census. I have already found my husband?s family in Minnesota. It will take me a little longer to figure out Enumeration Districts for New Orleans, but I will, as time permits.
