I am hoping someone will help clarify the process to obtain birth and death certificates from Orleans Parish. Some were born prior to 1907, some not. Some died after 1961, some not. Are some ordered from the LA State Archives and others from Vital Records? Also, if birth/death is over 100 years old, are they available to anyone or still just blood kin? I would appreciate hearing your experiences in obtaining them as well. Thanks for helping me with these questions! Barbara
