http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Monitor/1248 gives access to the names of people interred in Lafayette Cemetery, which I believe was not owned by the Archdiocese of New Orleans (correct me if I'm wrong about this). For information about interments in St. Louis 1, 2, and 3, and other Archdiocesan Cemeteries, you have to send an inquiry to Archdiocesan Cemeteries, 1000 Howard Avenue, Suite 500, New Orleans, LA 70113-1903. Don't hold your breath, though. I sent them a request last November and have heard nothing from them. You might have better luck with Alana Mendoza, St. Louis Cemeteries Office at St. Louis no. 3, phone 504-482-5065. I haven't talked to her since pre-Katrina, and don't know if she's still there.
