Can you all stand one more post about my Sister Monica ? :) A HUGE heartfelt thank you to all who posted information on the St. Joseph's German Orphan Asylum and the School Sisters of Notre Dame. Because of your help I have had a HUGE BLOCK WALL COME TUMBLIN' DOWN. I contacted the Sisters at your urgings and found out EXACTLY WHERE Theresa Stulz was born. Armed with that information I found a genealogical society in France who does lookups in that particular area and they responded with a huge amount of information. I now have birth dates for her parents (and marriage date) and siblings, where her father was from in Germany prior to going to France, Grandparents names and occupations, not to mention several siblings that I didn't have before (died young). As you know it is very difficult to do European research if you don't have the exact town. It is indeed, a VERY good day! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. I know you've heard it before, but sometimes it really pays off researching siblings and collateral lines ! Oh, one other thing, she was NOT a Mother Superior. I LOVE this list! Mimi
