CONGRATULATIONS, MIMI. Ya done good! Where in France did Sr. Monica's father move to from Germany? My gr grandfather was born in Prat, France and I obtained his birth certificate plus those of his siblings by writing to the Mayor in Prat. Like you, I found out a lot of info, i.e. his parents names,. occupation and age when the children were born. That was my breakthrough - isn't it wonderful when you are able to obtain that kind of information. How did you obtain the address of the Genealogical Society in the area you were searching? I am still looking for info on my gr grandmother from France. Good job.
